When Salima was young, having a tasbih that matched every khane outfit was one of her special joys. In fact we still have a big box of tasbihs of all colours and sizes that we pick from when we say our prayers, as many Ismaili households do. As an homage to those traditions, and in recognition that even the littlest murids sometimes want something special, we decided to launch our celebration line of tasbihs. Released for Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 85th birthday, these tasbihs are just a little extra - shapes, colours, and patterns that are a step above our regular collection.
Celebration Tasbihs
Our chew-bead tasbihs are 33 bead tasbihs, made from silicone teething beads & nylon and cotton thread. Silicone bead are very durable (ours have lasted 6 years and are still going strong!). However, as with all children’s toys, the tasbih can become damaged over time. Depending on the frequency of use and chewing style, it is possible for pieces to be chewed through, or the strings to become frayed. Always inspect your tasbih before use and supervise children closely. Clean with warm, soapy water. Avoid using oil or silicone-based products on silicone beads. Wooden beads can be maintained with food grade oils like coconut or olive oil, or with food grade beeswax.
All of our products are handmade with love in our little home workshop. While we sometimes have celebration beads in stock, they are more likely to need a special order, so creation timelines are 7-10 days. Shipping times will vary based on the item, location, and shipping method chosen. Regular letter mail or parcel post takes about a week within Canada but ships without tracking, at your own risk.
